Gesso is a London, UK-based creative studio specializing in immersive, place-based storytelling through audio and video. The company partners with cultural institutions, destinations, and brands to surface overlooked narratives, promote local voices, and convey the emotional texture of places, typically starting projects with research and dialogue to connect audiences with the people who shape a story. In addition to original productions, Gesso helps partners adapt and localize content for diverse languages and geographies, broadening reach across different audiences. Its client roster includes cultural organizations and brands such as the International Center of Photography, Fotografiska, the New Museum, Rockefeller Center, Soho House, and Mastercard. Founded and operating out of London, Gesso is part of the online audio and video media industry, delivering storytelling experiences that blend research, collaboration, and audience engagement. A recent development includes collaboration with the SoHo Memory Project to launch a free audio AR walking tour in New York, expanding the reach of its city-guided experiences.
