Giffels-Webster Engineers, Inc. (GWE) was initially established in 1983 as a branch office of a Michigan owned corporation.  In 1987, GWE incorporated in Florida and became an independently owned Florida “C” corporation.   GWE (Florida) is not a subsidiary of any other corporate entity.

GWE has operated a successful engineering business in Southwest Florida, primarily serving municipalities.  With 27 years in the local structural and civil engineering, planning and development business, GWE  brings a solid working knowledge of county, state and federal requirements as it relates to structural and civil engineering design, underground utility, site development projects and environmental permitting.  GWE has years of experience in planning, design, permitting, contract administration, and construction management services for structural and civil engineering projects for both government agencies and private clients in several states.  

GWE has provided design services for Charlotte, Sarasota, and Martin Counties, Jacksonville Electric Authority, Englewood Water District, the City of Palmetto, the City of Punta Gorda, and numerous private entities throughout the state of Florida.

The GWE office has been located at 900 Pine Street, Suite 225, Englewood, Florida since 1992, where it remains today. GWE currently employs 13 personnel. All key staff members have been employed at GWE for several years providing stability and forming the core of our design experience.  

Our office is a 5,000 plus square foot facility where all primary phases of a project take place. 

GWE has received awards and numerous letters of recommendation for design services throughout the years. More importantly, we have received letters commending us for our quality of work on numerous types of projects.
