Gigantic Mechanic is an entertainment-focused studio based in Brooklyn, New York. Founded in 2009 by Mattia Romeo and Greg Trefry, the company develops experiences that encourage physical interaction with the real world, using a range of technologies and formats to design engaging, user-driven play. Its projects span video games, installations, and live-action activities, created to let the experience drive the design rather than the technology, and they emphasize iterative testing and user feedback throughout development. The studio serves a broad set of clients and collaborators, aiming to engage diverse audiences with experiences that bridge digital interaction and real-world participation. While small in size, Gigantic Mechanic has worked on partnerships with cultural institutions and nonprofit initiatives, illustrating a focus on exploratory, public-facing projects that explore how people interact with space and media.
