Girls Who Invest is a nonprofit organization based in New York City, founded in 2015, focused on increasing the representation of women in portfolio management and executive leadership within the asset management industry. The organization aims for 30% of the world’s investable capital to be managed by women, pursuing this goal through education, industry outreach, accessibility, and career placement to prepare women for roles across asset classes. Its programs are designed to train individuals to become skilled allocators of capital across public and private equity, fixed income, credit, hedge funds, real estate, and infrastructure. In March 2024, the Apollo Opportunity Foundation renewed its partnership with GWI, reflecting ongoing engagement with industry partners to support underrepresented talent in the investment sector.
