Zap Skimboards was started in 1983 when founder Bob Smetts started his unique manufacturing process that our skimboards are created with that is still proprietary to the company today. Phase 5 Wakesurfers was found in 2001 when the sport was in it's infancy and has become one of the leading brands in the industry to date.
