Glenbrook High School District 225 operates two high schools, Glenbrook North and Glenbrook South, and serves about 5,200 students in Glenview, Northbrook, and portions of unincorporated Northfield Township. The district aims to provide a comprehensive high school experience focused on academics, athletics, activities, and the arts, with a rigorous core curriculum supplemented by exploratory offerings in fine arts, career and technical education, and entrepreneurship. It supports student engagement beyond the classroom through clubs, activities, and athletics and has renovated classrooms designed to enhance collaboration, flexible seating, and modern learning environments. Based in Glenview, Illinois, the district sits within the Chicago metropolitan area and relies on active involvement from families and the local community to achieve its goals. In late 2024 the district announced a leadership transition, naming Dr. R. J. Gravel as superintendent-designate to assume duties on July 1, 2025, following the tenure of Dr. Johns. The district also operates facilities such as Glenbrook Off-Campus, which includes a cross fit gym to support the physical education needs of students at the therapeutic day school.
