Global Animal Partnership (G.A.P.) is a non-profit organization based in Austin, Texas, formed by collaboration among farmers, scientists, retailers, manufacturers, and animal advocates to improve farm animal welfare. It runs a comprehensive 5-Step Animal Welfare Rating program for farm animals, with independent third-party audits conducted approximately every 15 months. Through its labeled product program, producers and consumers can identify items raised under its welfare standards. To date, more than 3,200 farms, raising over 290 million animals annually, have been audited and certified under the program.

The organization's welfare framework centers on health and productivity, natural living, and emotional well-being of animals. In 2022, Freshpet partnered with Global Animal Partnership to advance welfare practices.
