Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) is a not-for-profit organization and a globally recognized membership association for risk managers in the financial services sector. Its mission is to advance the risk profession through education, training, and the promotion of best practices, supported by a membership of over 279,000 across more than 195 countries and regions. The organization employs between 201 and 500 people and is headquartered at 111 Town Square Place, Hoboken, New Jersey 07030, United States. GARP develops professional certificates in risk management; in May 2025 it announced remote online proctoring for its Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR) and Risk and AI (RAI) certificates. Its activities include collaborations and advisory roles, such as the 2021 appointment of John Hull to its FRM Advisory Committee and partnerships with Persefoni AI in 2024 and Drew University in 2020.
