Founded in 1994 by activist and philanthropist Diane Meyer Simon, Global Green USA was created by President Mikhail S. Gorbachev to foster a global value shift toward a sustainable and secure future by reconnecting humanity with the environment.

For 25 years, Global Green has been a leader in advancing sustainable and resilient communities. We protect human and environmental health, build stronger communities, and support our planet’s natural systems. Global Green leads an international effort to create greener cities, neighborhoods, and businesses, along with promoting environmental health and justice. 

Global Green USA is the only national environmental nonprofit headquartered in Southern California and also has offices in New Orleans, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, and New York.
