MISSION: To provide a blend of reliable renewable energy technology solutions to developing regions of the world, to further opportunities for citizens worldwide, and to enable a more efficient society. GLOBAL SOLAR INITIATIVE (GSI) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit based in Washington DC with offices in Cambridge, MA and Zurich, Switzerland. We are the only nonprofit with a strategic approach to blending different renewable energy technologies. GSI is not tied to any specific technology or provider like other nonprofits and businesses. Rather, we are able to combine elements from 48 different renewable technologies, including solar, wind, geothermal, biomass and hydropower, that will most appropriately fit our individual project needs. This "blending" of technologies allows for the most reliable as well as cost-efficient solution for every project in every region. Our team of experts have decades of experience in blending renewable energy technologies domestically and internationally for Fortune 500 companies, high net worth individuals, and government and military clients. Now our team wants to use their vast private sector expertise to solve the massive energy problem in the developing world, one region at a time.
