GlycoSurf is a specialty chemicals company founded in 2013, which manufactures bio-inspired surfactants (biosurfactants) for a wide variety of applications that require specialized surfactants. GlycoSurf’s proprietary technology produces high-purity, non-toxic, biodegradeable, and chemically tailorable rhamnose-containing glycolipids (i.e. rhamnolipids). Rhamnolipids and other biosurfactants are often incorporated into cosmetic or cosmeceutical personal-care products. Other applications of biosurfactants include microbial enhanced oil recovery (MEOR), pharmaceuticals, antibacterial or antiviral, biofilms, medical device cleaning, and many other useful and innovative applications.

Our process yields high-purity materials (>95%) that can be completely tailored chemically to your specific application.
