North American division of parent company GMM Spa. Founded in 1993 in Gravellona Toce, Italy, by a group of engineers with over thirty years of experience in the stoneworking machinery sector, it started its business by designing and manufacturing bridge saws for the stone industry. GMM then continues its evolution to become a world leader in the production of traditional and numerically controlled cutters, then a manufacturer of systems for flat and vertical polishing (edge polishing) and finally integrating its product range through the purchase of the Australian Techni Waterjet (Twj), a company specializing in waterjet cutting machines with innovative technology in the metal, stone and glass sectors. In 2004, the incorporation of GMM USA Inc., Charlotte, NC, USA was established to better guarantee marketing and after sales service for all North America. To date, the GMM group can count over 9000 machines produced and installed in over 80 countries, 160 employees and a capillary distribution network.
