Go Buy Local is a social entrepreneurial fundraising company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Its platform partners with local businesses and nonprofit organizations to channel customer purchases into donations for schools and causes, aiming to strengthen local commerce while delivering savings to shoppers. Customers use the Go Buy Local app or website to select schools or causes and redeem offers at nearby local businesses, with the business model centered on providing a guaranteed sale for donors and transparent tracking of donations to nonprofits. The company serves three constituencies—customers seeking savings and contributions to preferred causes, local businesses seeking ongoing customer engagement and sales, and nonprofit partners looking for real-time donations generated through everyday shopping. Focused on the fundraising industry, Go Buy Local positions itself as a conduit that connects local commerce with charitable giving, offering tools to track offers, donations, and nonprofit impact without taking any portion of the donations themselves. The organization operates with a mission to keep money local, support local businesses, and enable contributors to support schools and causes as they shop, supported by a platform that facilitates adoption, monitoring, and promotion of offers across local markets.
