The Golden Triangle Business Improvement District is a nonprofit organization established in 1998 and based in Washington, DC. It manages the Golden Triangle, a 44-block central business district from The White House to Dupont Circle, supporting thousands of businesses and hundreds of thousands of workers, residents, and visitors. The district pursues a clean, safe, and vibrant urban environment and fosters economic development through public art, sustainability efforts, and community events. The BID holds LEED Platinum status and is recognized as the first in the world to be certified through LEED for Communities. In December 2024, it was awarded LEED v4.1 for Communities Platinum by the U.S. Green Building Council, and in March 2026 it announced the winners of its 13th Golden Haiku competition.
