Since 1986, the only conservation organization in the world keeping wild mountain and Grauer's gorillas healthy through life-saving veterinary medicine and science using a One Health approach across five national parks in Rwanda, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. With just over 1,000 mountain gorillas left in the world today, the health of every individual gorilla is vital to the species’ survival. 

In addition to providing eastern gorillas with healthcare, Gorilla Doctors conducts collaborative, international research on eastern gorilla population health trends and emerging infectious diseases with the potential to impact people and gorillas.
