In 2004, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qassimi, Ruler of Sharjah, issued administrative decision to establish Sharjah eGovernment as a Department. It provides ICT strategies and services aligned with the vision of Sharjah’s leadership for a bright future for the citizens of the Emirate of Sharjah. Our goal is to provide centralized technological infrastructure to Sharjah Government departments through electronic channels to facilitate G2G (Government to Government) and G2C (Government to Citizen) interactions and to achieve efficiency and transparency in the transactions between the citizens and government departments in order to align the Emirates of Sharjah with the best international standards for smart Governance. It ushers in a new era, where the Government aims to shift from a "Government-to-You" approach to a "Government-with-You" approach in the delivery of government e-services.
