Grand Central Market in Downtown Los Angeles is one of the city's most well-known historic landmarks. The Market opened in 1917 and continues to bring together the cuisines and cultures of Los Angeles. With over 40 vendors, Grand Central Market features rising stars and success stories from LA's vibrant food scene. 

Since opening, the Market has reflected the changing population of downtown. In the 1920s the ninety-plus vendors included multiple green grocers, fishmongers, Jewish delis, and butchers, as well as stalls for dry goods, baked goods, flowers, coffee, cheese, notions—and even one vendor who sold nothing but eggs. DTLA has been evolving ever since, and the Market has continued to evolve with it.
