The Grand Orient USA is a secular Masonic organization that is engaged in the protection of both individual and human rights. We believe that secular constitutional democracies are the only form of civil government that can act in the best interest of the people, and the preservation of their rights. In light of this we hold the Constitution of the United States of America and the Bill of Rights to be among the greatest and loftiest achievements of mankind. We view the separation of church and state as essential to preserving the harmony and welfare of the people. We are - 1. A secular civic organization 2. Open to all people of high moral character, regardless of race, gender or creed 3. Dedicated to building strength of charcter and moral integrity in its members 4. Actively promoting liberty, equality and the rights of all people in America and around the globe The Grand Orient USA promotes continuing education in civic virtue, science, natural philosophy, ethics, critical thinking, mathematics, business and other related subjects. Many lodge meetings are specifically dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge.
