The mission of Grassroots Change is to empower grassroots leaders to build and sustain effective public health movements at the local, state, and national levels. Public health movements grow from passion and the commitment to create real change in our nation’s health and safety. But effective movements need more than passion – they need smart strategy and the skills to connect and communicate. Grassroots Change is a hub for grassroots advocates working on diverse public health issues, and curates effective grassroots movement building tools. Grassroots Change nurtures grassroots passion and connects leaders with the resources they need to be effective in the long run. Support for this project is provided by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. As the nation’s largest philanthropy devoted exclusively to health and health care issues in the United States, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation works with a diverse group of organizations and individuals to identify solutions and achieve comprehensive, measurable, and timely change. For 40 years the Foundation has brought experience, commitment, and a rigorous, balanced approach to the problems that affect the health and health care of those it serves.
