Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust (GOSH) is a national centre of excellence for specialist paediatric health care, delivering a broad range of services. It offers the widest range of specialist care among UK children's hospitals and aspires to outcomes for children that would place it among the top five globally. It is the largest centre in the UK for children with heart or brain conditions, and, with its partnership with UCLH, one of the largest centres in Europe for pediatric cancer. Based in London, England, the hospital is the only exclusively specialist children's hospital in the UK and largely accepts specialist referrals rather than general emergency cases. It collaborates with the UCL Institute of Child Health to form the largest paediatric research and teaching centre in the UK. In March 2026, GOSH International announced a collaboration with University College London on a study showing that a pig donor oesophagus can be decellularized and repopulated with the recipient's cells to restore function.
