Green Hedges School is a primary and secondary educational institution based in the Vienna area of Virginia. It provides a Montessori-based early childhood program for ages 2-5 and transitions to a preparatory program for Grades 1-8. Founded in 1942 by Frances and Kenton Kilmer, the school emphasizes a small-community setting that supports individualized attention and guidance for young learners.

Its student body and their families are the primary audience, seeking a nurturing environment that fosters early development and a seamless progression through elementary and middle school. The school sits within the broader primary and secondary education landscape, combining Montessori approaches with a traditional preparatory pathway. In late 2025, Green Hedges announced ongoing work toward a coherent program that expands Montessori principles to older students and incorporates service learning.
