Green LA Coalition is an environmental services nonprofit–style alliance based in Los Angeles, formed in 2005 to coordinate and amplify the efforts of local environmental, environmental justice, and community groups. It comprises more than sixty active organizations and operates through three work groups focused on the Port of Los Angeles, urban ecosystems, and transportation, aiming to improve environmental health and equity across the city. The coalition functions as a hub for collaboration and information exchange, engaging with member organizations and wide allied networks to inform the public and support environmental policy advancement. Its activities are organized to help participating groups become more effective by mutually cooperating and leveraging relationships within and beyond Los Angeles’ policy-making sphere.
