Grupo Unide is a Spanish distribution cooperative in the food and beverage sector, based in Madrid. It operates a multi-brand network serving independent retailers and professional buyers, with seven distribution platforms and 12 Cash and Carry centers. The group serves more than 1,700 stores through its platforms and brands, including UDACO, GAMA, MAXCOOP, Supermercados UNIDE, and UNIDE Market. Its origins date back to 1931 in Madrid, when it began as DUCPRA with a little over 200 members; it evolved into GRUMA in 1964 and adopted the UNIDE name in 1992 after absorbing five cooperatives, with another from Logroño joining later. Today it is owned by its members, who participate in governance with a one-member-one-vote principle, and it operates across 13 autonomous communities with more than 1,200 member cooperatives.
