Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County is a non-profit ecumenical Christian housing ministry affiliated with Habitat for Humanity International, focused on building simple, decent, affordable homes in St. Charles County through partnerships with deserving families who lack access to conventional home financing. Founded in 1996 by local volunteers and community sponsors, the affiliate has completed over 89 homes and helped more than 250 family members become homeowners. It operates a ReStore program started in 2007 and relocated in 2014 to St. Peters, where proceeds support the mission by funding homebuilding activities and recycling more than 3,000 tons of building materials. Based in Cottleville, Missouri, the organization serves the St. Charles County community and maintains a small staff. Its work sits within the non-profit housing sector, focusing on affordable homeownership through a partnership model rather than traditional loans. In October 2020, Lauren Muehling was promoted to Grant and Development Services Manager.
