Hacienda CDC is a Latino-led community development organization focused on expanding affordable housing opportunities and supporting families through homeownership assistance, financial coaching, and educational and youth services. Based in Portland, Oregon, the nonprofit serves a predominantly low-income Latino population, delivering stable housing for more than 1,600 individuals annually, including many children, and developing housing across multiple sites to create communities with 381 housing units to date. The organization combines housing development with wrap-around programs designed to promote economic advancement and educational access, aiming to address both housing needs and broader social determinants for families. Since its founding in 1992, Hacienda CDC has grown to become Oregon’s largest Latino-led, Latino-serving housing organization, expanding its services to Latinos and other low-income families throughout the Portland metropolitan area. In recent years, the organization has pursued collaborations and initiatives, including partnerships to support youth STEM education and the development of new learning centers, reflecting its broader mission beyond housing alone.
