Enriching lives through world-class theatre since 1985, Hale Centre Theatre has been sustained by decades of extraordinary support from local audiences. The Theatre originally operated on South Main Street from 1985 until 1998, when it became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community theatre and relocated to West Valley City. In November 2017, Hale Centre Theatre opened its world-class home at the Mountain America Performing Arts Centre in Sandy, Utah. With the addition of a third performance space, Hale Centre Theatre now operates three stages and serves more than 700,000 patrons annually, presenting eight or more productions each year across its venues. Each season, hundreds of thousands of patrons pass through Hale Centre Theatre’s doors, supported by a dedicated season ticket base of over 30,000 subscribers. Productions span musicals, comedies, and dramas and are cast entirely from within the community, showcasing exceptional local artists. Hale Centre Theatre’s productions and educational programs are made possible through the generous support of individuals, corporations, and foundations who believe in the power of theatre to enrich lives and strengthen the community.
