HALO Maritime Defense Systems designs and deploys floating security barrier systems to protect critical maritime assets, including ports, naval bases, nuclear power plants, oil and gas facilities, and other critical infrastructure. The barriers use advanced composite materials and are intended to be effective, low maintenance, and eco-friendly, functioning as a physical deterrent that denies access from the sea. The company operates in the maritime transportation industry, providing solutions for perimeter security at sea.
Based in Newton, New Hampshire, HALO serves customers responsible for strategic maritime assets seeking perimeter security at sea. In 2017, NAVSEA awarded HALO a contract to deliver a fully automated waterside security barrier at Naval Station Norfolk, illustrating engagement with defense sector customers. The firm is small to mid-sized and focuses on engineered security solutions for critical maritime infrastructure.
