Halo is a partnering platform that helps corporate R&D teams discover new technologies, build relationships with the researchers and startups behind them, and more efficiently scale external partnerships globally through the power of networks and AI. Since launching in January 2020, more than 7,000 universities from 135+ countries have joined the platform. In 2021, Halo was recognized as one of Fast Company's 2021 World Changing Ideas.

On Halo, corporate R&D divisions post areas of interest for research collaborations (ie. Request-For-Proposals) and interested parties (scientists, startups, suppliers, innovators, etc.) submit a simple, standardized proposal form.

The corporate sponsor then reviews the proposals and reaches out directly to the applicant to either learn more or provide feedback. If the two are interested in sharing confidential information or negotiating a collaboration agreement, the conversation moves off of Halo and the process proceeds per usual with any industry collaboration.
