Hamad Medical Corporation, based in Doha, Qatar, is the country’s primary provider of secondary and tertiary healthcare. Its network includes twelve hospitals—nine specialist facilities and three community hospitals—along with the National Ambulance Service and home and residential care services. With more than three decades of service, the organization focuses on delivering care that is safe, effective, and compassionate, supported by a large workforce to meet the needs of a growing population.

HMC has achieved Joint Commission International accreditation for all its hospitals under the Academic Medical Center program, and is the first in the Middle East to receive institutional accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education–International. It plans to expand capacity across its network through 2030 and is pursuing the development of an academic health system in collaboration with partners such as Weill Cornell Medical College–Qatar, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, and Partners Healthcare Boston.
