Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home provides funeral and cremation services to the Fargo-Moorhead region. The business traces its roots to the 1920s, beginning as the Hanson Funeral Home founded by O. J. Hanson after World War I; it later changed hands to J. D. Runsvold, who retained the Hanson name. In 1960, construction began on a new modern facility at the current location near Island Park on Seventh Street South, and the operation has continued under the direction of John D. Runsvold, the third generation in charge.

It is a small, family-influenced operation within the individual and family services industry, serving families in Fargo, North Dakota, and the surrounding area with funeral and cremation offerings. The firm’s long-standing presence in the community reflects its focus on local end-of-life arrangements and service to residents of the Fargo-Moorhead region.
