Harrison School District 2 is a public K-12 education system serving the Colorado Springs area from its base in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The district operates a diverse network of schools, including nine elementary schools, four K-8 campuses, two middle schools, two high schools, a Career Readiness Academy, a homeschool academy, an online K-12 academy, and three charter schools; all schools are accredited under Colorado law. Established in 1874, the district educates more than 13,000 students and maintains a substantial workforce. In 2025, the district's leadership was recognized with the 2025 Women in School Leadership Award awarded to Superintendent Dr. Wendy Birhanzel at the School Superintendents Association conference. In February 2025, Harrison District 2 announced a partnership with Cigna, Care and Share, and Pikes Peak United Way to provide cooking education and resources for district staff.
