Hatz Americas, Inc. has been active in all sectors of the market since its opening. Hatz engines power construction equipment including pavers, concrete mixers, and compaction equipment. HDA also supplies the diesel power for generators, pumps and military equipment. HDA is the factory headquarters for all of North America and operates fully equipped engineering, service, and engine testing facilities from our location in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

The family run company employs more than 900 employees, more than five percent of them in the field of research and development. In 2014, a turnover of approximately 155 million Euro was achieved.

Motorenfabrik Hatz GmbH Co. & KG was founded by Mathias Hatz in 1880. From the original repair business for agricultural machines and locomotives, it has developed into a globally active company which includes diesel engine construction, contract manufacture of conrods and crankshafts as well as system construction.

The family company comprises three plants, 13 of its own subsidiaries, 114 Hatz agents in 120 countries and more than 500 service centers worldwide. Thus Hatz is able to supply spare parts quickly and ensure replacement systems.
