The Haverford Township Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency serving Haverford Township, Pennsylvania, a community of about 50,000 residents. Its origins trace to 1916, when the Night Watch and Police Force was established under Ordinance 77, specifying a Chief of Police and a small patrol presence. Today the department is led by a Chief of Police and comprises sworn and civilian personnel to deliver policing and public-safety functions. Sworn personnel total sixty-nine, including one Deputy Chief, three Lieutenants, twelve Sergeants and fifty-three Police Officers.
