HAPA is a Hawai`i statewide nonprofit whose mission is to catalyze community empowerment and systemic change towards valuing `āina (environment) and people ahead of corporate profit.  

At HAPA, we believe that when people come together with heart and commitment to an issue, we can create powerful change in Hawai‘i towards economic, social and environmental justice.

HAPA implements our mission in Hawai`i through four campaign areas: 1. Fair & Sustainable Food Systems; 2. Reclaiming Democracy; 3. Economic Justice; and 4. Community-Based Resource Stewardship/Native Hawaiian Organizing. 

We combine education, organizing and advocacy as our main strategies: education ensures community members have information and skills they need; organizing builds leadership and amplifies their voices; and advocacy delivers these concerns to key decision-makers.
