Hawaii Preparatory Academy is an independent, co-educational school that serves students from preschool through grade 12. Founded in 1949, it offers a comprehensive program and operates a boarding option for students in grades 9 through 12. The school maintains two campuses in Waimea, Hawaii: the Lower and Middle Schools sit on nine acres, while the Upper School occupies a separate 200-acre site at the foot of the Kohala Mountains. Within Hawaii's independent school landscape, the academy serves families seeking a campus-based K-12 education. In June 2026, it announced a partnership with Elevation Solutions to implement Salesforce solutions, reflecting an adoption of technology to support school operations. The school's structure—two campuses with distinct grade configurations—illustrates a traditional, boarding-accessible option within the private education sector.
