Providing concrete to the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City markets requires Hawkeye Ready Mix to supply jobs of all sizes. With multiple plant locations and a large fleet of ready-mix trucks, Hawkeye efficiently supplies many of the largest commercial projects in Eastern Iowa. Hawkeye’s yellow mixers are frequently seen in front of many local projects including new schools, churches, retail developments, parking ramps, hospitals, and educational buildings for the University of Iowa. Hawkeye believes it is important to assist their customers from the bid process and mix designing through the actual delivery and placement of their products.

Hawkeye works with some of the Midwest’s largest contractors. These contractors have relied on Hawkeye’s high level of safety and efficiency to service their projects. Hawkeye continues to provide their employees with many levels of safety training. It is their belief that through elaborate training procedures, accidents become predictable and more importantly preventable. Hawkeye takes pride in assisting their customers to achieve accident-free work sites.

Hawkeye’s peers, through the Iowa Ready Mixed Concrete Association, have repeatedly recognized and awarded Hawkeye for the superior support and quality they provide their customers. These projects have included bridges, paving jobs, parking ramps and multiple projects for the University of Iowa’s educational and health care facilities. As Eastern Iowa continues to grow, Hawkeye continues to strategize and train to remain the preferred choice for local commercial projects.
