Health Connected, a leading nonprofit based in the San Francisco Bay Area, empowers thousands of young people annually through comprehensive sexual health education. Our mission is to support young people in making informed, confident decisions about their sexual health by engaging the entire community. Our Program Areas: - Youth Services: In-school puberty and sexuality education for grades 5 through 12. - Parent Services: Workshops for parents to enhance communication on sexuality and relationships - Training & Technical Assistance: Professional development for educators and clinical staff to deliver sexual health education. Our programs are crafted in response to the unique challenges faced by young people and are adaptable for communities nationwide. Our curricula aligns with the California Healthy Youth Act (CHYA), ensuring compliance with comprehensive, impartial, and inclusive education standards. We also offer specialized curricula for students with special needs and those facing adversities. Sex education can be transformative, addressing both the social-emotional and biological aspects of development.
