HelioSage Energy is a national solar energy services provider and project development firm. With experience built upon over 500 MW and $1B of financed renewable energy projects, HelioSage has worked with commercial and utility clients nationwide to make the purchase of solar electricity or solar energy systems simple, reliable, and financially sound. The company was founded by several of the principals of Greenlight Energy, Inc., one of the largest independent wind energy companies in the country at the time of its sale to BP Alternative Energy in 2006. To date, HelioSage has executed over 300 megawatts of PPAs. Included in this pipeline is a 60 MW portfolio in North Carolina selling power to Duke Energy-Progress and NCEMPA, as well as executed PPAs with Connecticut Light & Power (Fusion Solar, 20 MW), Georgia Power (Richland Solar, 20 MW), Idaho Power (60 MW) and the Tennessee Valley Authority (60 MW). Most recently, Duke Energy, the largest electric power holding company in the country, announced the acquisition of a 40 MW facility from HelioSage. Once completed, the Elm City Solar Facility will be one of the largest projects east of the Mississippi.
