HelpAge USA is a small nonprofit based in Washington, DC, dedicated to advancing the health, well-being, and inclusion of older people in the world’s poorest communities. It works within a global network of more than 190 organizations across more than 90 countries, partnering with U.S. and international groups to support healthy aging, financial security, and humanitarian relief for older people. Its programs touch both domestic and international contexts, including initiatives like the Friendship Bench DC Grandparents and support for older Ukrainian refugees, with a focus on elevating older people's voices and challenging myths about aging. In January 2026, HelpAge USA partnered with the National Academy of Medicine to facilitate community voice workshops in seven countries, aligned with the Global Roadmap for Healthy Longevity.
