Herald-Standard, Uniontown Newspapers, Inc., is an independent family-owned media company located in Fayette County in southwestern Pennsylvania. The newspaper traces its ancestry back to the Fayette Gazette and Union Advertiser which published its first edition on December 5th, 1797. Our company was recently purchased by Ogden Newspapers Inc. Ogden Newspapers was founded in 1890 with the launching of the Wheeling News. Today, the company boasts 40 daily newspapers, several weekly publications and a magazine division within various states across the country.

The mission of the Herald-Standard is to provide news, information and services to enable our communities to prosper.  Our company takes pride in the services we provide.  Nearly 150 Herald-Standard employees are dedicated to producing and distributing the best products possible for our readers, viewers and advertisers.
