The Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship is a small organization in the international affairs field that runs a national fellowship program for recent graduates. It places fellows in Washington for six to nine months, where they work full-time as junior staff at a participating organization and receive a salary. The program selects cohorts twice a year and arranges meetings with policy experts to provide exposure to issues of peace and security and to expand professional networks.

Founded in 1987, the fellowship has awarded 219 fellowships to date. Many alumni pursue graduate study or take roles in public-interest organizations, the Federal Government, academia, and media. The organization operates from Washington, DC, with a small staff overseeing fellow placements and related activities.
