HERS Breast Cancer Foundation’s mission is to support all individuals healing from breast cancer by providing post-surgical products and services regardless of financial status. HERS is the only nonprofit organization in the Bay Area that provides appropriate products (such as bras, prostheses, and wigs) for breast cancer survivors in a safe and comfortable environment.

Our services are available at three locations: the flagship program store at Washington Hospital in Fremont, at Stanford Health Care ValleyCare in Pleasanton, and at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in San Leandro.

Our services are designed to help individuals overcome the devastating emotional and physical effects of cancer treatment. Our program stores provide a private, understanding environment for breast cancer survivors to be properly fitted for bras and prosthesis, lymphedema garments for the arm and wigs. The service and the products of HERS Breast Cancer Foundation are vital to patients facing breast cancer and help to restore survivors' sense of HERS -- Hope, Empowerment, Renewal, and Support. We are truly "a soft place to fall" during an extremely difficult time in our patients' lives.
