After serving for 12 years as the Vice President and General Counsel of Banyan Strategic Realty Trust, a publicly traded real estate investment trust, Robert Higgins started his own law practice in 2002.  Specializing in real estate transactions and real estate related matters, the business has grown into a thriving boutique law firm.  Now known as Higgins Law Office, the firm consists of its founder, Robert G. Higgins, as well as Michael R. Brancheau, a 2013 graduate of New York Law School who is awaiting admission to the Illinois bar.

Higgins Law Office serves  a wide variety of clients including a major Chicago national bank, the public employee pension fund of a state government agency, a national shopping center owner, a national industrial property owner, national and local owners of large office buildings, a Chicago based apartment developer, and various businesses and entrepreneurs.

Robert Higgins is admitted to practice in Illinois (1977), Texas (1985) and Minnesota (1979).  His experience involves all types of real estate transactions, as well as real estate related litigation matters such as mortgage foreclosures, rent collections, commercial evictions and ownership disputes.
