The High Country Conservation Center (HC3) is a Colorado-based environmental services organization focused on practical waste reduction and resource conservation in Summit County. Based in Frisco, it serves residents, visitors, and local businesses as a primary resource on energy use and carbon footprints, recycling and composting, water conservation, and community gardens. The center emphasizes actionable, locally relevant solutions that people can implement to improve resource efficiency in the mountain community. In 2023 HC3 launched the Water Smart Program to help homeowners and homeowners associations upgrade irrigation systems for healthier lawns while reducing water and energy use. It has also pursued partnerships and community outreach to advance recycling and composting initiatives, including collaboration with Natural Grocers to distribute free compost buckets. In 2025 HC3 planned to host its annual Hard to Recycle event in Frisco, highlighting its role in coordinating local environmental services.
