The Highline Schools Foundation, based in Burien, Washington, was established in 1999 to marshal community resources in support of Highline Public Schools. It is the district's only 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to backing all Highline Public Schools and functions as a single point of contact for community members, local and national businesses, service organizations, and other foundations seeking to contribute to the district. The foundation's purpose is to secure resources that enhance education for all students and to ensure that revenue, goods, and other contributions are broadly utilized across the schools, while supporting educators through classroom grants, recognition, and professional development. Its long-term goals center on improving student success through academic achievement, college and career readiness, and enriched learning experiences, with short-term priorities spanning academic achievement, classroom enrichment, the arts, athletics, recognition, and community programs. Recent activity includes hosting events such as Project PROMise and the Gold Star Bash in 2026, illustrating ongoing engagement with students, families, and educators.
