Highway District No. 4 is a public highway authority in the northeastern quadrant of Canyon County, Idaho. It oversees about 320 miles of public roadways and, within its boundaries, cities typically have responsibility for streets inside city limits except for Star, where HD4 maintains those streets under a separate agreement. Based in Caldwell, Idaho, the district operates as a small government agency responsible for managing a substantial portfolio of transportation assets valued at more than $230 million. The district's Engineering Department is actively seeking qualified civil engineers to contribute to planning, design, and construction of transportation projects, and to assist with development entitlements and infrastructure management. It supports professional development through continuing education and mentoring to address growing transportation needs in the Treasure Valley.
