Hill Country Memorial is a nonprofit hospital in the heart of the Texas Hill Country with a reputation of delivering remarkable care. The hospital opened in Fredericksburg in 1971, and today HCM continues the worthwhile work of serving others. As Fredericksburg has grown in population and worldwide recognition, the hospital has broadened available service lines, improved quality, continued to recruit great physicians and adapt to health care trends. HCM provides health care to residents of a seven-county area in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. With dedicated physicians and medical staff, HCM provides remarkable care in more than 30 specialties such as surgical services like Restore, a proven, evidence-based joint replacement program that fosters faster recovery, emergency medicine, ENT, orthopedics, radiology, pathology, obstetrics and gynecology, cardiopulmonary, urology, and many others. HCM's support services include a wellness center, home health care, hospice, a breast center for mammography, sleep labs, and specialty clinics in Boerne, Kerrville and Marble Falls. Since 1989, the Foundation for HCM has been the fund-raising arm of HCM and has committed itself to advancing the promise of life through philanthropy. Dedicated physicians, staff, board of trustees, volunteers and a supportive community make Hill Country Memorial one of the most outstanding rural hospitals in the nation.
