Hillel of San Diego supports university students in the San Diego area by helping them form deep connections to Jewish life, learning, and Israel through exploration, leadership, and belonging. It provides opportunities for students to build lifelong connections—to Jewish life, to peers, and to Jewish communities worldwide. The organization operates three campus programs—Hillel at UCSD, Hillel at SDSU, and North County Hillel—each pursuing a common goal of helping young Jews find their place in the world. Founded in 1992 as an independent religious corporation, Hillel of San Diego is based in San Diego, California, and functions as a central part of the local Jewish community, with the capacity to engage a majority of university-age Jews in the area. In 2025 the organization launched the Jewish Networking Hub to connect current students with Jewish alumni for mentorship and career support.
