Hiller Aviation Museum uses aviation to inspire adventure and innovation while using tools of science to explore how the physical world works and how the dream of flight is made into a reality.

Founded in 1998 by helicopter designer and inventor Stanley Hiller Jr., the Museum features more than 50 aircraft spanning over a century of aviation history.
 
Visitors experience aviation up close through interactive exhibits and hands-on demonstrations, including the Invention Lab, Drone Plex, and flight simulators. These experiences bring STEM learning to life and offer students a unique resource to connect academic concepts with real-world applications.
 
Core programs support Pre-K through 12th grade learners with hands-on activities, innovative curriculum, and emerging learning technologies.
 
More than 135,000 people visit the Museum each year, including 66,000 youth. Over 12,000 Bay Area students visit on school field trips annually, representing 250 schools. Thanks to the support of generous donors, 53% of these students from underresourced schools are able to participate at free or reduced cost through the Museum’s Field Trip Assistance Program.
 
The Museum hosts several major annual events, including Biggest Little Air Show, Holiday Arrivals by Helicopter, Airport Runway Run, and Noon Years.
 
The Museum is also available for private events, such as corporate functions, birthday parties, weddings, and more.
