We are an association of business professionals that represent, promote and support excellence in the home building industry through education, community service and environmental stewardship. Chartered in 1965 under the leadership of Joseph Fraser, Jr., the Hilton Head Area Home Builders Association is a not-for-profit professional trade association whose membership includes residential and light commercial builders and remodelers doing business throughout the Greater Hilton Head Area, encompassing all of Beaufort, Jasper, and Hampton Counties. Affiliated with our builder members are the numerous professional tradesmen and supporting businesses. These include subcontractors, retail and wholesale suppliers, architects, engineers, mortgage lenders, realtors, and many others. Collectively representing more than 450 local companies, these professionals have joined together through the Hilton Head Area Home Builders Association to improve all aspects of the building industry throughout our region and beyond. Members of the association recognize the importance of keeping pace with ever-changing technology and industry practices, and strive to improve their businesses using the education and tools available to them through local, state and national membership. They believe that their participation in the HBA is an investment in not only their company, but their community as well. The Association administers the Hilton Head Home Builders Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization formed to support and raise funds for deserving local high school graduates seeking further educational or technical advancement.
